Exoplanet studies with JWST

As we are near the end of JWST commissioning, the observatory is gearing up to
begin its exciting and groundbreaking science mission. Exoplanet systems will
constitute a significant fraction of JWST's science targets, and given the leap
in performance the observatory will bring, these observations are likely to
bring major new knowledge and discoveries. JWST's instrumentation will offer
transiting exoplanet science with imaging as well as spectroscopy with all four
science instruments, and direct coronagraphic imaging capabilities with NIRCam
and MIRI over a range of wavelengths. I will give here an overview of planned
exoplanet science with JWST, the different modes and capabilities that are
available and some of the special operational aspects of exoplanet science with
Webb.
